CERC @ UWB
Logo

A significant portion of my undergraduate work at the University of Washington Bothell involved consciousness studies. Passionate about the subject, I worked closely with the head of the program, Dr. Kathleen D. Noble, in developing and leading student-driven and academic programs for Consciousness at Bothell campus. During the time several other students and I were conducting research with Dr. Noble, she introduced the concept of a research institute for consciousness studies. This grew into the Center for Education and Research in Consciousness (CERC). Having been the graphic designer for most of the consciousness program, Dr. Noble was curious about what I would come up with for the institute’s logo. The CERC logo was a more minimal yet dramatic adaptation of the campus’ Consciousness Club logo, which I also designed.
